What an interesting story about culture, romance, and in Rubies in my Ears, Obsession to Success: Six Countries, Six Adventures.
One Relentless Obsession: Success by Sanjiv T Lall. I haven’t read work from this author before, and I enjoyed this story. I learned a lot about the culture, and Lall’s life.

A thank you to the publisher/author for giving me the opportunity to read and review this book.
First off, I honestly do not read many memories or biographies. No real reason, I just don’t do it but on a rare occasion. The pitch got to me when you are really trying to figure out what you want to do with your life. I’m almost 37 years old and I still don’t have a clue. Good to know that not everybody had or has it figured out. Sanjiv sure didn’t at first lol.

Reminds me of those old age stories from school
The author has written a very well laid out story that Charms as much as it pleases. The way the words flow help in imagining the situations written, very clearly.
Though there are some times when the transition can feel a bit forced, but none the less this is a great read.
5.0 out of 5 stars An engaging journey
I is a very engaging story of a young man venturing out in an unknown world . As the story unfolds over forty years the protagonist is filled out in flesh and blood as his struggles and achievements are tempered with each other. The narration is racy, simple, honest and very endearing. I read it in one go. The character of Sanjiv comes

A truly fascinating tale.
The author has seen it all. From being a smug and cocksure young man to realizing the reality of his situation, he demonstrates the power of persaverence.
A fine read that every young person should check out.
A good read
The book is a life story – one traveling far and wide in telling the story of a young man. Beginning out like so many of us – a college grad with no further ambitions, his trip abroad for a job brings in all the unexpected twists. Adventure intertwined with an undying spirit and a thirst to learn. A simple and relatable tale of love, loss, laughter and life.
An inspirational story
Sanjiv T. Lall’s Rubies In My Ears is a memoir that works mostly because it is written with heart. It is a detailed account of Lall’s journey of his life which he presents through various incidents and anecdotes that happen in various points of his life. He decided to write his book in his 50s so it is commendable how he remembered every single detail of all

Very inspirational story
This book is an autobiography of the author itself, here he represented the story of an ordinary Indian man’s struggle to win the circumstances of life. Every emotion of the author is very well narrated it includes fun, laughter, pain, loss of his father, struggle and ultimately how he found the success.

Uncork the bubbly.
Who is Sanjiv T Lall? Why should you read this book?
Well, I was also filled with the same scepticism when I started turning the pages. An autobiography of an unknown entity held little interest to me.

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves.
Sanjiv Lall’s biography – Rubies In My Ears, an engaging narration of events in a simple walk-through of his life.
The memoir presents a roller-coaster ride through his early life of uncertainity, to the crazy adventures of his youth and making his way across global cultures & relations as he journey to worldwide destinations.
